Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, September 26th, 2014 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa at the age of 72. Cherished and beloved husband of Shirley for 48 years. Loving dad of Dave and Kelly. Adored Papa of Mandy, Tyler, Ryan, Josh and Dylan. Great Papa of Jayveon. George is survived by siblings Pete, Marie, Rosaleen and predeceased by Phil, John and Tom. George will also be missed by many other family members and friends. As per his own wishes there will be no formal funeral service and cremation will take place. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate nursing staff of the 6th floor at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the attention given to George and his family during his stay.
