Passed away surrounded by his family at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Friday, March 13th in his 95th year. Dearly beloved husband of Mafalda (Predeceased) of 63 years. Loving father of Raffaela Thickett (Stephen), Frank (Marcy), Tony, Maria Darling (Gord) and Gino (Maria). Cherished Nono of Lee (David), Tina (Tom), Julia (Aaron), Taylor (Ryan), Sarah (Kyle), Steven (Samantha), Robert, Alyssa (Kyle) Cory, Amanda (Chad), Christopher, Brian (Kaitlin), Joshua and Justin. Great Nono of Julia, Jack, Molly, Austin, Zachary, Nolan, Wyatt, Ella, Noah, Beckham, Colton, Alivia, Spencer, Madison, Charlotte, and Lucas. Survived by his sister Clementina and brother Mariano. Predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Raffaela. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Giuseppe was born and raised in Lago, Italy, he will be remembered for his love of gardening, wine, soppressata and most of all his family. Joe will be dearly missed by his sister-in-laws (Carolina, Giuseppina, Rosetta) and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and the residents at Wynfields Retirement Residence for their friendship, love and compassion. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, March 18th, from 5 – 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave) on Thursday March 19th at 11:00 am, followed by entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby.
