Helen Cecelia Wagstaff Gibbs

Peacefully at Extendicare on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Ronald for 65 years. Loving mother of Barbara (Ted) Cherewaty, Bob (Lynn), Peter (Carol) and Joanne (Dan) Doyle. Loving grandma of Carly, Kevin, Colleen, Taylor, Erin, Cortney, Wesley and Michael. Predeceased by her brother Jack Wagstaff. Survived by her sisters-in-law Doris Spencer, Elsie MacMillan and Bev Wagstaff. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Sincere thanks to the staff of unit 3 West at Extendicare for their exceptional care and compassion to Helen and her family. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, May 1st, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Prayers at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Thursday, May 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
