Helen Stevenson

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 29th, 2013 at the age of 74. Loving wife of Bill for 30 years. Treasured Mom of Wayne (Donna) of Oshawa and Ken (Jamie) of Bird’s Creek, and stepmother of Lesley, Craig (Kim) and Lisa. Cherished Gramma of Josh, Jamie-Lee, Kristen, Stephen, Evan, Melissa, Jordan, Justin, Jasmin, Emma, Cody, Jayme-Lynn, and great grandmother of Austin. Helen will be sadly missed by brother Alex (Karey) and nephews Bryon (Penny) and Blair (Keri), niece Carrie and her children John and Sierra, great nieces Vanessa, Victoria and Carly, great nephews Carson and Connor, as well as many other relatives and friends. Helen joins her late mother Doris and her brother John. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate doctors, nurses and support staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for taking such good care of Helen and her family. Friends may join the family for a Celebration of Helen’s Life at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, September 5th at 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted for the Lakeridge Health Foundation (Cancer Care).
