It's with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to Sonja and her family at the loss of her dear mom.
I will never forget the Vonk family, I hold their memories very close to my heart. Henny and Dirk were like second parents to me when Sonja, Richard and I were growing up in Oshawa many years ago. We were not just neighbors we became family. I will always be thankful for the times that we spent together and that our paths crossed.
Thinking of you Sonja,
Love, Jennifer Yates and my mom Brenda

So saddened to hear of Henny’s death. We first met when we moved to Whitby and lived next door to Henny and Dirk. They were great neighbours to us, they were more like family than friends.
Sonja, please know that we are thinking of you during the loss of your dear mum. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Sending hugs and Prayers to you Sonja, Paul and Vickie ❤️🙏

Oma was a lovely person inside and out. She always had a smile and a kind word. The very first time I met her she told her grandson to "not let me get away". We remain good friends to this day. Rest in peace Oma.

Henny had immense love for her family, including the four legged ones!
You could always see that love in her eyes whenever she spoke of them.
We had many long conversations with Henny doing most of the talking! I never tired of her stories of a life well lived.
I will always hold fond memories of our times and chats together.
Rest in peace my dear friend.

I remember meeting Oma at the hospital when Michael was sick and she brought him a TML blanket. He wrapped up in that with such a huge smile on his face. I loved her from the day I met her...then you all came down to Nova Scotia after Michael was buried to say good-bye....I so loved that visit... I pray God gives you all the strength to get through this sad, sad time....I will be thinking of you all.
