Ivy N. Mackay

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, September 18th, 2011 with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband John Mackay (1976). Ivy leaves behind her children John (Lori), Patti and Jim (Anne). Cherished Gramma of Jonathan, Andrew (Rebecca), Alex, Matthew, Lanny and Shannon. Great Gramma of Camdyn, Caleb, Colin, Luke and Grace. Ivy is survived by brother Earl Lalonde, and predeceased by sister Nona Stibler. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Ivy was known to be a great listener, she loved baking and doing creative arts. She was a pillar of strength to her family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, September 23rd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Saturday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Arthritis Society.
