James Leslie Jordan

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of James Jordan on February 29th, 2016 in his 89th year. Loving husband and best friend to Viola (Hogan) for 68 years. Cherished father of Julie, Paul (Nicole), Bob (Gail), Doug (Cathy) and Joe (Kathy). Proud grandfather of Justin, Lianne, Elizabeth, Dan, Jackson, Christian, Jennifer, Devin, James, Michael and nine great-grandchildren. James was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Olive and sisters Millicent, Bessie and Gola. Brother-in-law to Julia Elliott (Tom), Marie Lewis (Emmerson), Leo Hogan, and Luella Madill (Alfred).

Jim was an avid Blue Jays fan, loved spending time with his family and going for Sunday drives. He was a founding member of Saint Mary’s of the People Church, Saint Joseph the Worker Church and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Friday, March 4th from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER CHURCH (1100 Mary Street N., Oshawa) on Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, in Whitby.
