In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

What shocking news! My sincere condolences to you all. But especially to those I know. Andy&Minnie Hiemstra. and Ann Vellinga, members of Aylmer CRC for whom I will be serving as pastor beginning in Sept. What terrible pain you must be going through. There is nothing I could say or do that would replace your terrible loss. But may you be comforted by the cross and the empty tomb. The cross symbolizes God's abiding love and the empty tomb represents eternal life. You are all in my prayers. In due time  the Lord willing we will have the opportunity to speak.
