I was privileged to be able to get to know John over the past year and a half. It was always a pleasure sitting and talking with him, and seeing that guilty "boyish" grin on his face when he was being ratted out by Chris for something he shouldn't have been doing! :) I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know such a great man.

Dearest Chris,
You and John were beside us on our wedding day and we wish we could have been with you both more during these past years.
Smiles, laughs and hugs were perfected by John and he never hesitated to share them. Heaven needed John's humour now;
but be assured, John will be about to hear a good joke and leave you kisses.
With saddened hearts for you, David and Michael,

John and I worked together at the North York Assessment Office in the mid 1970's. I will always remember John for his integrity and dedication to his profession. We also participated in our weekly basketball game where he was fondly known as the "locomotive" for his intensity to the game. John's passing is indeed a loss to his profession, friends and his family. It was a pleasure to be part of John's life and my most sincere condolences go out to his entire family.

I had the opportunity to play basketball with John on Wednesday nights for the last several years. He would often be the first one to arrive and the last one to leave and played the game with a smile on his face the whole time. He was a great teammate and a pleasure to play alongside. My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family.
