It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father John who passed away peacefully with family at his side on August 6th, 2015 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Smith (Rahme). Dear father of Linda, (John), Haley and Grant. Grandpa to Mike (Elise), Jeff (Miranda) and great grandpa to Josh, Andy, Meghan, Katie and Noah. Brother to Fred, Gladys (Giles) Connelly, Jessie (Lorne) Crowells and predeceased by his sister Joyce Whalley. John will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11th, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 12th at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
