John was probably the best all round athlete I coached at Dunbarton. Football, wrestling, track, rugby, he excelled at all with a fierce will to win. There were so many great times at Dunbarton & then the Wanderers. Rest In Peace John. You will be remembered by many. With love, Ed Grant.

I remember John as always generous and giving of his time to benefit the Ajax Wanderers Rugby Club.
On the field he was, without a doubt, the fastest player I ever played with.
God bless you, John
