It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Zerafa, with dignity on December 4, 2020, at the age of 84 with his beloved wife Ruby (Dolloff) Zerafa by his side. Loving father of Marion Breedon of Barrie and Lorraine Zerafa of British Columbia. Cherished grandfather of Lindy Breedon-Pearson (Bryan) of Texas, Joe Breedon (Maggie) of Lefroy, Derek Breedon of Toronto and Trisha Harding (Ryan) of Brighton. Caring great grandfather of Emma Pearson of Texas. He will be fondly remembered and forever loved by sisters Gracie Saffarese (Alfred) and Rita Camenzuli (Tony) of Malta. Predeceased by his brothers Anthony Zerafa (Leone), Charles Zerafa (Francine), his sisters Mary Vassallo (Charles), and Teresa Sammut (Paul). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends and family were the lucky beneficiaries of his unfailing kindness, patience and support. He will be dearly missed but in our hearts and memories always and forever. His family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion he received. We wish to thank Allison his nurse who was incredibly kind to him during his final days. A private visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and a private service on Wednesday December 9, in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. The following link will take you to a sign up sheet for the visitation.
