It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karyn Andrea Lewis. Karyn passed the morning of April 25th in Pickering, Ontario after a long and brave battle with early onset Alzheimer’s that was further aggravated by a recent Covid-19 diagnosis. A multifaceted marketing professional, she was employed for many years at Future Electronics (Pointe Claire, Qc) but also made a name for herself as one half of two different dynamic duos in Montreal’s entertainment and fitness arenas. She was the co-owner and manager of Soul Impact Production Studio in the 90s, working with the fitness Phenom Dale King. She also partnered with her brother, the late Keith Lewis, to produce countless urban comedy shows, concerts, Christmas Charity Dinners and other special event under the Keith & Karyn umbrella from the 80s through to the 2000s. She was “big sister” and mentor to many as well as a compassionate listener, advocate and friend. Her infectious smile and laugh touched all that met her. Her creativity, dedication and kind spirit will be missed by her friends, her father, Edwin Lewis and her sister Esther.

To Mr Lewis and C. Esther Lewis (😊)
I am offering my most sincere sympathies at the passing of our dear big sister Kim. I was priviledge for many years to be a welcome member of your family be it on Mtl or here in Toronto, NYC trips, travelling that 401, BBQs, parties or just hanging and having a lime, you all thought me valuable lessons of love and laughter over the last 30+ yrs. Laughter is what I hear in my mind when I think of you all - you all have such distinctive laughs all equally so infectious that I am smiling now!
Kim was the leader of the laughter and smile squad..there was nothing that Kim could not find a joke and the positive in! I respected and loved her very much. Her passing hurts my heart however, I know that the almighty will be pleased with our sister's life on earth and she will forever rest in power and peace, alongside her dear Mother and beloved brother Keith - all 3 organizing food music and talent for the best Block-o in the sky!
Much love to you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She and her brother were a force to be reckoned with on Montreal's entertainment scene and contributed to beautiful memories I have from my younger days. From rock in' nights at Chez Rufi to glitzy holiday galas, these will always be connected in my mind to this brother and sister duo. May she rest in peace.

Hi Karen,

We go way way back to a time when life lived was simple and carefree. Even though many years have passed since we last connected, what I remember the most about you is your large ‘bright’ smile. So infectious.
We shared many good times together in NDG and those memories will be with me forever.

Rest In Peace dear friend knowing you will not be forgotten.

You were such an inspiration to many Karen.

It was many year ago, but I still remember you filled with life, and love. You gave so much good to the world, and I honor that. You were a bright light, and still are. Please continue to shine brightly wherever you are.

My Deepest and most sincerest condolences to Esther and the Lewis Family Dynasty. As large as Karen's persona was in our city, she was never to Big to make someone small feel just as big, or as important. She was like the Big Sister that I never had, and I am forever grateful for her time, her generosity, her kindness, and her love that she always shared with me and my young family at the time. May God be forever pleased with your Soul, as your Brother greets you at the gates, as he escorts you to that big Diamond and Pearls party in heaven in your Honor. Love you Karen; rest in peace.

I remember my first time, that Keithey brought me to Kim, she was living on her own. He ask Kim if I could stay with her and she agreed. She was a great roommate, and there is where I got to know Kim. Then we moved over to Beaconsfield and I lived with them, the grandmother was alive at that time. I got to know the whole family better. Kim was such a wonderful person and she had such a big beautiful smile and a unique laugh. I will always remember Keith and Karen, the brother and sister team. Keithey, Karen and Mrs Lewis will always be in my heart, they were my family. My condolence to you Esther and Mr Lewis.
The Most High bless you guys and comfort you and keep you safe in this sad occasion. They are in the hands of The Most High.
