I attended General Vanier High School with Kent , We hung out at either his house or Star Records , I was initially impresses at how Kent managed to get the local Donut shop to put some of his records in their Jukebox. Kent introduced me to Punk and Teenage Head and lots of other music. Although I never saw Kent after high school I did get to meet Todd and his father again when they magically appeared at my film office in Toronto 15 years ago , My condolences to the Family and all of us here what a loss

I am very sorry to learn of Kent's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at CKQT radio in Oshawa in the early '90's. He was always a genuinely kind, friendly and happy soul. He was very good at his job and always very helpful to me. I'll always remember the laughs we had discussing the latest Kids In The Hall episode each week, talking at great lengths about music and listening to his Frank Zappa albums. Unfortunately, I lost contact with him after leaving the radio station but I always remembered what a great guy he was.

My heartfelt condolences to the Perry family. I worked with with Kent 30 years ago at Mothers, he was kind and generous and always willing to help. He will be missed.

I am very sad to hear of Kent's sudden passing. We made friends online on Myspace 10 years ago and carried on our correspondence from there. I always found him to be a person of great talent, humour wit and sensitivity. I will really miss him. I send my deep condolences to his family and loved ones. He has left us much too soon.

It is so sad to see you go life can be so unfair to take someone as kind and loving as you who has lots to offer on this life we call earth but just remember we will always remember you in our prayers sometimes we just go to early without understanding why but now you rest in peace my friend until we meet again....

The David Scurr show Sunday nights from midnight into Monday mornings at 2am is where I met Kent. I have fond memories of those days, of our trip down to Nova Scotia and of his kind and gentle nature. A gentleman always - Kent was one of the good guys and I am saddened to hear that he has died.

My condolences to the Perry family.  I have had the pleasure of working with Kent at the Regent Theatre for the past few years.  He was always cheerful and happy and always had a cup of coffee in his hand :)  Rest in peace my friend.

I am honored and blessed to have known Kent while working at the Regent Theatre which he loved and was dedicated to.He had a wonderful and gentle soul. I will never forget his kindness. I extend my deepest sympathies to the Perry Family. This was so unexpected.

Kent would follow me on my radio show at CKLN-FM, a community radio station in Toronto. He would do the overnight slot from 2-7am and there was always a chance to talk during the exchange of timeslots. He played some very esoteric music and was very engaged with his audience. He was a rarity in this world. He was a listener.

Kent was an accomplished, published poet and rightfully proud of his work. He was also a devotee of experimental music and an excellent DJ on CKLN-FM. I cherish the time we spent together there, and the friendship we continued once reunited online. RIP Kent, you are missed.
