

We celebrate the life and legacy of Kevin David Ash, who passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the age of 71. Devoted husband of 48 years to Madeleine, inspirational father to Lindsay and Michael (Stephanie), proud Papa to Crimson and Arês, and Grandpa to Spencer and Fionn. Dearest brother to Tony, Sean (Judy), and Kelly (Doug); cherished brother-in-law to Mary (Dean), Cathy (Steve), John, Anne (Al); as well as loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Kevin was an individual of remarkable insight, possessing a talent for articulate expression and offering encouragement, complemented by a sense of humour that could illuminate even the most challenging situations. Kevin was a Christmas connoisseur; he possessed the magic that made the decorations, the lights, and music come to life. He helped spread Christmas cheer by partnering with many communities across Canada in their Festival of Lights campaigns. He had many jobs over his lifetime, starting as an AV tech for his alma mater, Neil McNeil High School. He spent many years at Safety Supply Canada, Raywall Kitchens, and Signs and Safety. He then worked as a 911 dispatch in Oshawa and most recently as dispatch at Vaughan Fire. After a lengthy illness with numerous complications, he passed peacefully with family at his side. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home on Monday, January 20 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. located at 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 2L4. Church service will be held at St Gertrude's Catholic Church in Oshawa Saturday January 25 2025 at 10:30am. Located at 690 King St E, Oshawa, ON L1H 1G5.
