TRYON, Lois Margeurite (nee McMullen) Born May 30th, 1934 in Thurlow Township, passed away suddenly July 20th, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Loving wife of Floyd (July 21st, 2001). Daughter of Kenneth and Helen McMullen (both departed). Survived by sister Ruth McMullen. Cherished mom of Kevin (wife Alisa) and devoted grandmother of Garrett and Kira. Lois was a Bank of Montreal retiree, an active member of Pickering Village United Church, and the Ladies Craft and Fellowship Group (United Church Women of PVUC). Lois' greatest joys came from camping in the summer, winter vacationing in Florida, weekly church craft days, tending her summer flowers, time at the waterfront, helping her family and looking after her "grand" dog, Hayley. Lois was a caring, giving and kind person always willing to help out, and will be greatly missed. At her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Lois will be laid to rest at Flinton United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association is appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234).

I am so sorry for your loss. I have only now come to know of Lois' passing. She was my patient and I truly enjoyed seeing her. She was so full of love and so caring towards others. She was always thinking of everyone else and never wanted me to "fuss" over her too much. She always kept on top of her health and I am so surprised by this. I will miss seeing her smiling face. - Dr. Anjli Takhar

I am so sorry just haven't found out that Lois passed away in July. Lois sat next to me in Arthritis class, she liked it that way and I always kept a chair for her with a set of weights and anything else we used that day, so nobody would sit down on it.
For the summer I've changed to the earlier class and didn't see her anymore.
She made the best pickled beets and was the nicest person to spend an hour with. I am sorry for your loss.
