Louise Anne Garratt

Passed away peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on April 4th, 2016 with her loving daughter by her side. Predeceased recently by her loving husband of 64 years Ronald (March 7th, 2016). Loving and caring mother of Donna (Roland). Cherished nana of Aaron and Rachel. Louise is predeceased by her parents John and Jennie Skwarek and by her siblings Casmere, Marcel, Ted, Evelyn, Marie and Jean, and will be dearly missed by siblings JoAnn, Monty and Wally and by many nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, April 9th, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations will gratefully accepted for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

No one knew the pain she bore… Beneath the smile she always wore. God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be …. He wrapped her in His loving arms and whispered “Come with me.” She suffered much in silence her spirit did not bend…. She faced her pain with courage until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain…. God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain. Those who have a Mother, cherish her with care, for you never know the heartache, til you see her vacant chair.
