Passed unexpectedly on January 9, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Harry of 44 years. Loving Mother to Pamela, Drew, and Lesley (Ian). Cherished Granny to Graeme (Ruth), Vanessa, Anya, Genevieve, Katya, and Jamieson. Great Granny to Hannah. Will be dearly missed by her twin sister and best friend, Ann. Margaret and her family emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1977. As an identical twin, Margaret had a built-in best friend with Ann. Margaret had the privilege of traveling to many places around the world while enjoying good fortune, family and friendships. Whenever there was a holiday to be celebrated, it was always done around Margaret's dining room table. Margaret loved to cook and bake, and those of us close to her got to appreciate her steak pie, her homemade soup, her clootie dumpling, or her shortbread, millionaire's shortbread and Empire biscuits. Perhaps what was most important was that Margaret brought her family together. Summers in Bobcaygeon, led to a love of the Lakes Region with friends and family. Again, another way in which people came together. Her and Ann were like two peas in a pod, inseparable up there. Margaret loved her music. She loved to sing and dance. Some of her favorites were Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Reid, Elvis, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Keith Urban. Staying connected with family was also very important for Margaret. Thank goodness for technology, Margaret did a weekly call or FaceTime with family and friends in Scotland, and with her daughter and family in Seattle. Her departure comes as a great shock leaving a deep wound, gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. The family appreciates your support during this difficult time.
