ADD A MEMORY

January 5, 2018

I always enjoyed when Great Aunt Peggy visited Ottawa. Always smiling and so full of energy. I remember one time at Uncle Doug's House we were all sitting around taking and she was playing chase with my son. She will be missed. I hope fond memories of her bring you comfort at this time.

It was with great sadness that I read of Peggy's passing. We lived next door to them on Norwood Crt and I spent many a time playing with Karen over the years.
Cherish the memories and she will always be close in your hearts.

Aunt Peggy was so beautiful and gentle. Her kindness showed in everything she did. She took great pleasure in the Smeathers' family reunions and our visits. She loved Karen and her grandchildren and delighted in their lives. She had a life well lived. We will cherish her memory forever.

The Stratford Family

December 30, 2017

For over a decade our mother, Pat Stratford, enjoyed a weekly mini-book club with Peggy and their mutual friend, Bonnie. With love and laughter and plenty of cups of tea, the three would 'set the world aright.' May we all know such rich friendships in our own lives. Peggy was such a cheerful soul, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Aunt Peggy was my father's youngest sister and a beautiful sole. Every visit was a memorable experience as Peggy loved to share her time with family and friends. Distance between Toronto/Oshawa and Ottawa precluded us from spending a lot of time together but she was certainly someone who's company you looked forward to sharing. She raised a beautiful daughter who gave her two precious grandchildren, which has to be one of life's most enriching experiences; watching them grow, enjoying their company and having the great pleasure of spoiling them. God has called home an angel
and may He hold her in the palm of his hand until we meet again.
Doug Smeathers (nephew).
