I was saddened to hear of Miss Marija's passing. As a team member at Value Village I can attest to the fact that she enjoyed her visits with us...sometimes leaving with two carts full of treasures. 😃 Her sense of style was unique and she knew a bargain when she saw one. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we will miss having her come in to the store. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this very difficult time. 💐 💐

Marija always made you feel so welcomed into her home. I recall her happiness and enthusiasm as she shared her art collection with us. We enjoyed her laughter and her beautiful smile at the many family dinners we shared. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Shreve family at this sad time. R.I.P. Marija

The day that I heard that God called you home, was a very sad day for myself and your whole family. One of my favorite memories of you was when we went over for dinner with your Grandchildren. We walked in and to our surprise, you had turned part of your living room into a home theatre with beautiful matching chairs. You wanted us to all have a comfortable place to sit and visit and watch your big screen TV, while waiting for dinner to be delivered. To this day, we often look back and have a chuckle because you were so excited and happy to do this for everyone. Your love, devotion and generosity to your family and extended family, is very much appreciated and will never be forgotten. Thank you for 26 years of great times and great memories.
Sadly gone but never to be forgotten.
R.I.P. Dearest Marija

There are a lifetime of special memories with my Grandma Shreve so it’s difficult to choose just one. Grandma Marija was such an important part of our childhood and lives growing up.

Some of my favourite memories with her are our family pizza party Sundays and playing ping pong in her rec room as kids. I will always remember her buying big boxes of Dairy Queen ice cream. Always one for us kids and one for her! :)

Grandma had such a passion for interior design and art. Each time we’d visit, she’d show us her newest paintings and we’d hear about the things she was loving the most at the moment!

Value Village was her favourite store in the world! She loved how she could find tasteful looking items for less. She was one of their most valued and most frequent customers! She loved to show and share with us all of her latest finds!

One of the most precious memories of Grandma Shreve’s house was playing with a stack of wooden engraved coasters as kids. We’d stack them to see how high we could get them before they’d fall. My four children would visit her over the years and play with those same coasters. It was surreal and very special to see them do that same thing we did 20 + years later.

She loved her great-grandchildren so very dearly. The biggest smile would light up her face each time she’d see them.

Grandma, I will always remember your honesty and giving nature. I’m so grateful to have had you in my life and that my children got to spend so much time with their great- grandmother. A gift most don’t get.

I’m honoured to have your name in mine. It’s not going to be easy without you but I know Heaven must be the most beautiful work of art you’ve ever seen. We love you so very much. xoxo

The first time I met her she loved me with open arms, my favorite memory of Grandma Shreve was when I first met her she grabbed my cheeks and told me ( Im am beautiful and such a smart lady) & gave me kisses told me that im now in her family forever she offered me chocolaté milk and a chocolaté pudding. Thé look on her face knowing her (grandchild/Luke ) was happy made her joyed. She has so many stories and listenting to every single one was the best thing ever. I love her smile & how much she loved her Chocolate pudding and chocolate milk. Shes forever in my heart and I will always miss her. It saddens me that she did not get to meet Luke& I's child she would have a 5th great grandchild but she was super excited to meet him and knows hé was on his way. Our lil one will always know who she was and how spécial she was to us. R.i.p Grandma Shreve till we meet Again

I have a whole lifetime of special memories with Grandma Shreve but one of my favorites was when we were younger and she would watch our car back out of her driveway and she would run down the street with us as we were driving away. It made her so happy and she knew it made us laugh. She sure did love her family and we will forever love her. <3 <3 <3
