Mary Hay

Passed away after a valiant battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife and soulmate of John for 47 years. Loving and adored Mom of Jenny (Mike Clarkson) and the late Wendy. Cherished and beloved Gammy of Sean, Shannon, Shane, Shaylyn, Joshua, Stephen and the late Amanda, and great Gammy of Ryan and Nathan. Mary will also be missed by extended family and friends. Those who were touched by Mary will fondly remember her for her colourful sense of humor and her big personality. She was an amazing and flamboyant woman who had the ability to light up a room. The Hay family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for taking such kind care of Mary and her family during her stay. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, July 6th from 2:00 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for SickKids Foundation or Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Palliative Care.
