I think about the first time we met at LHO during orientation. We became instant break/shift buddies. You were always so much fun to be around, always laughing and smiling. All who knew you loved you and considered you a friend. I have nothing but great memories of you, as does everyone else. You will be truly missed. Your kindness and humour will be missed always, words cannot describe how much.
I am so sorry your life was cut so short and how incredibly sad I was to hear the news.

Yes that smile! Mat was a diamond of a guy, always pleasant, talented , funny and a great looking young man. We talked today how people could learn from him about the importance of family.Mat made time for everyone and still had time for himself.He made it look easy because for him it was.Just a wonderful young man.We are so sorry for this awful loss.

Mat, when I heard the news at 7am that morning, my heart sunk. That feeling lasted for quite sometime, but then I remembered the times we shared and the light you brought into my life and others- then I smiled. I smiled because you were so caring, fun-loving and happy. Your attitude towards life was infectious. 
To Cindy, Bill and Mitch- I cannot find the words right now to express how sorry I am for the loss of such an amazing person. Mat, upon hearing the news that you were gone, I broke down. You made such a lasting impact in my life and will always remain such a cherished friend to me. There has never been a time when I haven't thought about you, or a November 25th that has passed when your name hasn't been written on my calendar.
