It’s not so long ago you left us and made your journey to a new world. I hear your song Sitting on the dock of the Bay and feel your presence. Life for all of us has changed but we hold onto the many blessings and inspirations you left behind in your legacy. You were a role model for your many siblings and such a good friend to our family. Dear Pam, Melissa and family, I was very saddened to hear of Melvin's passing.  I always enjoyed bumping into the two of you at Zehrs, and hearing all the wonderful things about the kids and grandkids.  He was very proud of all of you.  You are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.

Mom had announced cousin Mel was coming to town when I was just a small girl. I'm not sure how old I exactly was, but what I do remember very clearly was your big smile and ability to command the room with your jokes and story telling. It was like having a guest of honor at the table and we all laughed and hung onto your every word. Your time spent at our home in Dauphin was cherished. Your name would always come up year after year as we remembered fond memories. I know you're resting now, and I will forever keep you and those memories in my heart.

My dear brother Mel, you were more then a big brother to me you were my mentor and a father figure, you taught me right from wrong and how to put others before your own needs.  You had a heart of gold. 
I could only wish to be like you.

Melvin, you were a wonderful brother. Loving memories I have to treasure. The many talks of life lessons along with the fun times we've had together alone and shared with so many other family members and friends. Who could ask for a better older brother. You will be truly missed and remembered with Love.
 
We shared in Love, in Faith and in Prayer. You found peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. When he comes and calls you, I know you'll say, "hundred percent".
