Michael Belmonte

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather. Michael passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday June 1, 2010, surrounded by family. He was in his 66th year. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Mary (nee Mattacchione). Loving father of Ryan and his wife Carmela, and Marc and his wife Joanne. Proud Nonno of his “adorable” grandsons Nicolas and Noah, and his little “princess” Emjay. Predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Arcangela Belmonte. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Joe (Ernida), Herman (Connie), Vince (Nadia), Tony (Saveria) and Patrick (Kim) and sisters-in-law Rita (Don), Nina (Bert) and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, June 4th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 570 Marion Ave. on Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 A.M. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
