Mike was a big part of my life when I was growing up. He was a steady positive influence during my teen years.
Mike was a self- made man.
I admired Mike's work ethic which saw him have an incredibly successful career at General Motors. His pride in the company was evident whenever he drove his Cadillac. He showed me that hard work, dedication and passion were all important traits to have in life.
Mike was always business oriented and for years ran a successful Driving Range which provided me with my part time job and unlimited golf balls to hit. Mike helped me develop a golf swing that was the envy of many.
He knew the value of property and was an investor in both real estate and the stock market. He tried to educate me on the ways of the stock market but in the end let me follow my dream. My husband, Bill always enjoyed discussing and comparing portfolios with Mike.
Mike was a devoted husband to my mom for 48 years.
Mike was always creative and inventive and taught me that a problem is just a a situation waiting for a creative solution.
Congratulations on a long successful life Mike - Rest in Peace.

Uncle Mike was known as " Uncle MIke " by many members of the Oshawa Golf Club. He was also known as the golfer with the sweet smooth swing - he did once own a golf driving range.
Uncle Mike was the Patriarch of the Tutkaluk clan and he and Aunt Lois had presided the past few years over a Memorial Celebration for my mom. Uncle Mike is well loved by his many nephews and nieces and their families and this party seemed to tighten the family bonds.
My dad passed in 1976 and Mike stepped in as a 'father figure' immediately - which was greatly appreciated. I would like to offer condolences from my family and myself to Aunt Lois on her loss. She was very brave and tireless during Mike's difficult last months.
My cousin John ( Hammy ) does a wonderful job each year reciting a tribute to prior golf course members who have passed at the year end " Memorial " Tournament. I'm sure that remembering Uncle Mike at next year's event will be very painful for Hammy.

Uncle Mike had a quiet dignity about him that we admired, along with his kindness, generosity, and wisdom. Lois, we are so grateful to have reconnected with you and Uncle Mike in recent years. Please accept our heart felt condolences.

Uncle Mike will be missed as a loving uncle and an ideal dinner guest. He really listened and cared what others had to say. Uncle Mike could be counted on to contribute amusing anecdotes to lighten up a room.He has provided us with a bounty of happy memories.

Uncle Mike, too many memories to mention but a few I would like to highlight. Picking up the balls at the driving range would normally seem tedious, but I would spend all day doing it. Golfing at Kawatha back in the '60's before the houses on the 7th hole were built. Finally the golfing moment of our careers, winning the Sargeant's Rental tournament at Oshawa. Those were the days.
