To the children of Mrs. Vanderluit,
I knew all of you at one time when we were in grade school together at Immanuel but in later years have only had contact with Karena and Grace. I remember your Mom as a kind lady who always had a smile. I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to all of you with the passing of your Mom. Alzheimer's is not an easy disease to deal with for the family or for the person themselves. I hope that you are able to remember the good things/times about the person your Mom was as time passes. I pray that God will hold you in His loving arms, comfort you, and give you the strength that you need for the days ahead.

When Frank and I took my parents to Hattem to visit oom Henk and tante Nelie, we walked through Hattem and afterwards had lunch at their house.
It was Franks’ second visit to the Netherlands and he had never eaten raw
herring. Tante Nelie cut a few pieces, put them on a plate, and Frank was introduced for the first time to raw herring!
We also still have their wedding invitation, with a picture while they were
dating in the 40’s.....
🙏🏼Rest In Peace tante Nelie❤️

Grietje Wiilemstijn de Vries from Holland, is very sorry to hear that her niece Neeltje passed away. Grietje (and her husband Arie who passed away in2014) have a lot a good memories, when Neeltje and Henk lived in Holland. They used to visit each other in Dokkum and in the East of Holland. Grietje would like to wish Neelies family a lot of strength in this very difficult time.

I am so sorry to read that your dear mother has passed away. She was across the hall from my mother Isabel At Traditions in Oshawa and then just a few doors down from her when they both moved to Fairview. She always had a smile and would always reach out to our dog to say hello.
My mom has now been gone 3 years and I have to say, it is a hard journey ahead of you all but also know that our moms were very faithful to their God and they knew that they would be going to a better place.
sending peaceful thoughts and prayers during this difficult time
