My memory of my Uncle Norman which I will always remember is as follows:
My father William Frances Rafferty died at a very young age in Canada where after the 2nd World War he immigrated to with my mother Mary and myself. After his death my mother came back to Belfast with my brother Kerry and my sister Pat who where both born in Canada. My mother went back to Canada to sort out various matters and I stayed with my Grandmother in Benburb Street Donegall Road.My uncle Norman was a great Linfield supporter and used to call in to my grandmothers and pick me up and take me to Windsor Park for Linfield’s home matches ! I really looked forward to these Saturdays and I myself became an avid Linfield supporter and eventually went on to play for and captain Linfield football team! If it wasn’t for my Uncle Norman I probably wouldn’t have played for Linfield and had the success I achieved with them!I’ll always remember my Uncle Norman for taking the time to take me to the Linfield matches and the interest that he took in me!I will never forget this and he will always be in my thoughts and memories! RIP Uncle Norman ❤️❤️❤️!!! Peter Rafferty.

I am so sad that you are gone, but so thankful you are with Auntie Sandra again. I will miss sitting next to you when there is a full room of people and feeling you pat me on the knee just to let me know you care. I love you Uncle Norman and already miss you so very much. I hope you get to read lots in Heaven!! LOL!! I Love you dearly!!

Oh pappy, you do not know how much you are missed already. You were and in my eyes, still are such a phenomenal man. I love you so much and I will miss you everyday, however knowing you don’t have to miss grangran anymore makes me so happy. You lived a very full, adventurous life and I will forever cherish your stories- double deckers to chicklets gum, coronation street, news and “football”. I thank you for everything you have done for all of us, and I am so grateful that Leland had the opportunity to be loved and known by you.
Miss you forever and love you always Pap.

I miss and love you very much Pappy. I'm glad that you were able to have so many years on this earth. I'm glad you were able enjoy many years with your great grandkids and great great grandson. I'm sure Nanny was waiting for you with some fresh baked apple pie. I love you both so very much. Until we meet again.
