January 26, 1984 - October 27, 2024
Beloved mother, partner, daughter, sibling, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. Passed peacefully, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at 40-years young, due to a brain aneurysm.
Affectionately known as "Looch" to her family. She was also known as “Jukebox“ to her friends as she knew and constantly sang a range of songs from 1950 to 2024. Her spirit was keen, indomitable and loving.
At 8, she played Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother in a school play where she shared her smile and her passion for others. She was known for stopping people on the street to make a warm comment and tell them she loved and cared about them. Fairy Godmother Pamela will live on in others, as she is gifting her organs to others.
She loved her family dearly. She leaves behind her daughter Karys Smith, her partner Alain Bertrand, parents, Ruth and Greg Olley, brother and sister-in-law, Kristoffer and Colleen Olley, and her two nieces, Elora and Jocelyn Olley, her aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents, Laura and Harry Olley (Gramma and Grampa), Mary and Tom Spencer (Nanny and Poppy), and Jean and Art Machmer (Neanie and Grandpa Art).
Thanks to Dr. RV Stas who helped bring her into the world and the doctors and staff at Peterborough RHC who helped her leave this world, with dignity and love.
Pamela was a big fan of Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund - https://downiewenjack.ca/support-us/
