Dear Heidi and family, 
I just heard about Pat’s passing from Charlotte Dobosh (Webb). I am so so sorry for your loss. It feels like such a travesty to blithely go through life for three months without knowing that such a light has been extinguished. Pat = a grinning smile, a collaborative spirit, digging his hands in the dirt with gusto, his love of family, friends and an open table. I am so thankful to have shared time and space with such a loving caring courageous happy joyful soul.

I was astounded to find out today at the winery that Pat had passed away in September. I have been a dedicated fan of both he and his whole family since he opened "the little shed that was mighty".  Adoration is heartfelt.  Great memories of helping get his fabulous wine recognized in PEC through Sandbanks Wine Tours as the first driver and recommending  Del-Gatto wines to everyone I meet.  And by supporting with pride and doing lots of research with Pat and Heidi to know their stories. Much love to all. I will miss Pat.

I knew Pat from my teenage years - working with him at Knob Hill Farms.  He was a sweet, gentle, kind young man.  Pat had a love for Mustangs and even had a few back then.  Pat always had a smile on his face and always a kind word to say to anyone who crossed his path.  You will be greatly missed Pat. I got to know Pat in my teenage years,  playing park league soccer together.  I kept in touch with him years later to do some renovation work at his and Heidi's house in Oshawa.  He always had a great smile and cheerful nature about him. As I would expect he was a well respected and loved person.

One of our fondest memories of Pat was having our Amateur Wine Group dinner in the middle of his vineyard sharing a meal , dinner  and many laughs.   We were so fortunate to meet Pat and Heidi when we moved to Picton 20 years ago.  And enjoyed their company at many AWO Christmas parties at our house.  Even when he became too busy with making wine to stay with the group, we would invite them as our good friends and guests of honor.   Your smiling face and laughter will be sorely missed as will your presence at our annual Christmas party.

Our condolences to you Heidi and your entire family.  We were fortunate to have met Pat, yourself and your children  knee deep in your newly planted Vinyard.  We helped in removing some of the larger stones which we used in our garden. I made sure everyone knew where they came from. Pat was always smiling and so generous with his time every time we dropped in. He gave me a lesson in Vermouth and was also generous with his hugs! He will live on in all our hearts.
