I am shocked and saddened to hear of Pat's passing - I didn't know she was ill.  Having been next door neighbours for 39 years, I had many conversations over the backyard fence with Pat. Our sincere sympathy to you George, and your family.

My name is Joan Maggs and I knew Pat when I was teaching in the primary grades at Cedardale Public School in Oshawa from 1974 to 1977 where she was the school secretary.  I had hoped to attend the visitation on Sunday with my good friends Cleone Morris and Judy Cordiner, but I am no longer available at that time.  I always enjoyed Pat's keen sense of humour and her kind efficiency.  I wanted to let you know that Pat is fondly remembered by one of her former colleagues.  My hope is that you will be given the strength to adjust to this sad change in your lives and that you will be able to carry on as you are bouyed up by your many happy memories of her.
