Peter Murphy

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Peter Murphy at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, August 29th, 2014. He passed away peacefully in his 87th year. Quiet, dependable, a man of character, devoted husband and best friend for 57 years of late wife Geraldine Murphy. Cherished father of Michael (Bev), Karen Burns, Philip (Greta), Patrick (Barb), Paula (Kevin), and Susan Widdis (Geoff). Proud grandfather of Katie (Matt), Melissa (Rich), Greg, Ryan and Jacob. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, September 2nd from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (194 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa) on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. We are grateful and thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the professional and compassionate care our father received on his many visits to Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
