I'd been friends with Rick for about 25 years or so, first "met" him online at the hobby site Coffin Corner. We just became fast friends and got closer and closer as time went by. He was just a great friend, would do anything for you. He was also one of the funniest guys I've ever known, we just had such a blast talking. We could talk about anything, and did. Our backgrounds, what shaped us, what we enjoyed, what we missed as time moved on, and of course, our shared love of the hobby of model building and painting. I'll always regret that we lived so far apart that we never got a chance to meet face-to-face. I'm already missing the phone calls and the pranks we would play on each other. I SO looked forward to the next time we talked, usually a couple of times a week; always left me with a smile on my face. You're terribly missed by many of us, Rick.

I had known Rick for many years as we shared our hobby of building miniature cars and anything car related. Rick was very creative and had some wild ideas that he loved to talk about. We often talked for hours about our hobbies, our passions and our lives. I hope he is resting well now.

Further to my previous comments here, Rick was the greatest artist I've ever known. Met him at a hobby shop some 35 years back when we began discussing monster models, never seen anyone build with the passion that he did. We've been great friends since, miss his phone calls greatly. Would appreciate someone contacting us at regarding Rick. Thankyou.

Rick was my best friend for more than 35 years, always knew I could count on him. We talked at least weekly, he was a great uplift whenever I spoke to him and met at the hobby shop often to discuss what our next projects would be. He encouraged our daughter Kelly and myself in so many areas of building and painting of models over the years. He was a wonderful friend to myself, wife Laurie and daughter Kelly and mentored her all along. Always knew we could count on him for anything at any time in any situation. Rick will be greatly missed. especially his great laugh and smile. Please contact us at my email regarding him.

Randy & I have known Rick (affectionately known as Crazy Rick) for many years as part of the model hobby circle. Rick would show up at our store, disappear into the aisles to peruse the models on the shelves, and talk ‘shop’ with whoever he could. He had a passion for customs and show cars. Rick was quick to jump in to offer his help when he showed up in the middle of shop renovations. Always cheerful and smiling.

We were saddened by the news of Rick’s passing. He will missed by us, and by many others.

Rick was my life long friend for some 40 years now, he and I would go to auto swap meets almost every weekend or to model shows or just go for coffee and shoot the crap. I will miss his laugh and his crazy sense of humor, we would tell jokes and laugh so hard till we cried. I will miss those great times with my best friend, Painter, master modeler and good sole. R.I.P. My Friend...
