After a life lived with gusto, sadly, Dr. Robin Davies passed away on Monday, July 1st at home surrounded by his family. He was 64 years old. Robin was a dedicated physician and Chief of Staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, and long-time partner at the Oshawa Clinic. He had an incredible thirst for knowledge, read extensively, and took many interesting trips with his family to different places around the world. He was an avid golfer (member of Oshawa Golf and Curling Club) and skier, and also enjoyed many fun summers at his cottage in Bancroft teaching his children water sports and playing with his beloved standard poodles. Robin was known for his adventurous spirit and wonderful sense of humour. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend and will be missed by many. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. M. Krzyzanowska, Dr. J. Brierley, Jennifer Petronis, Sheila Webster, and other staff at Princess Margaret Hospital; caring staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and the Oshawa Clinic; and the St. Elizabeth nurses. To Drs. E. Brankston, R. Giroux, and D. Fitzpatrick, we will be forever grateful. Robin is survived by his wife Wendy, children Ben and Alexandra, granddaughter Robyn and siblings Pamela Haas (Werner), Lyn Zurbrigg (Ken), and Christopher Davies (Courtney).
“Say not in grief, he is no more – but live in thankfulness that he was.”
