
After a long battle with lung cancer, Bob Galbraith passed away at home on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at the age of eighty-three with his wife Jean and daughter Sandra by his side. Bob leaves his wife of seven years, Jean Huggins. Bob also leaves behind his only child, Sandra Weldon (Harry) and two wonderful granddaughters, Christine Senior (Keith) and Susan Geary (Martin). His greatest joy and reason for battling his disease as long and hard as he did were his great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Charlotte Senior and Simon Geary. Bob also had extended family with his marriage to Jean being a step-father to Darlene Temple (Bill), Judy Walls (Bill) and Brad Huggins (Debbie). He became a grandfather to Stacie Lockwood (Jeff), Lindsay Temple, Hilary and Courtney Walls, Kyle, Derek and Jacqueline Huggins. He was a brother-in-law to Pam MacDonald and uncle to her children, Shawn and Greg MacDonald. He was also proud to have Keeley Lockwood as a great-grandchild. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, June Galbraith, his parents William and Catherine Galbraith, sisters, Bernice Collins, Geraldine Henderson and Mary Yeo and brothers, Jim and Bill. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Thursday, June 30th from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 3:00 P.M.
