Robert John Hogan

(Retired GM salaried employee after 32 years of service)

Died suddenly at home in Oshawa, on Friday, August 12th, 2011, at the age of 62. Loved husband of Elaine for 39 years - Rob you are my sunshine. Respected and loved father of Bryan (Sarah) and Heather. Cherished Gampa of Austin, Aidan and Leah Hogan. Beloved brother of Jim (Cindy) and Bill (Nancy), and brother-in-law of Sandra Miller (Ron) of Port Hope, Patricia Landini (Sal) of Ajax, and David McCurdy of Richmond Hill. Rob will be missed by his “roots” Cambridge family Rosemarie Bevan, Pauline (Bill Mouncy), Jim Hogan, Joe Hogan (Elinor) and also by many other relative of the Hogan and Thompson clans. Predeceased by parents Jack and Wilma Hogan of Oshawa (Galt). Those who knew Rob will remember him for his love and devotion to family, attention to detail and love of his Vette. Rob will be missed by 4 legged friends Bond and Cosmo. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the professional and compassionate EMS and Police personnel as well as caring neighbours for their efforts. Many thanks to the LHO Emergency staff for their support. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Friday, August 19th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 20th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for St. Michael’s Hospital – Cardiac Care or Lakeridge Health Port Perry Hospital.
