Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011, in his 94th year. Survived by his beloved wife Pauline (nee Kane) of 66 years, sons Kerry, Ronald and Philip all of British Columbia, granddaughters Natalie (Brett Lohvin), Nicole Simper (Jared), grandsons Jesse Mills and Brodie Sand (Elizabeth), great grandsons Brandon and Nathan Lohvin and Gavin Simper, brothers Ralph, Ken (Shirley) and Newell (Marilyn), sisters Helen Tymchuk, Aileen Thompson, Betty Young, Barbara Whitehead and Mabel Torrie (Harold). Bob also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Predeceased by parents Albert and Kathleen Mills, brothers John and Ian Mills and daughter-in-law Valerie Mills. Bob was a member of the General Motors Choir and St. Gregory’s Choir for over 50 years. Former active member of Friends of the Second Marsh, Federation of Anglers and Hunters, and a dedicated environmentalist. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many days with his friends on the Pond. He was a member of the Oshawa Curling Club and looked after the Pot of Gold each Friday night. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, January 30th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (194 Simcoe Street, Oshawa) on Monday, January 31st at 10:00 a.m. Cremation.
