I too wish to add my condolences to you and all your family and friends. Bob will be missed by a great many people for a wide range of reasons.
He was a smiling face that brought many of us together from all walks of life.
The staff and members of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters along with the OFAH local club, (South Central Ontario Fish and Wildlife Association), which Bob was a member of for many many years will all miss him at our events.
His smiling face made it very easy to sit with him and sell our OFAH lottery tickets at the Oshawa Centre.

After I retired, I decided I would get into yard maintenance.  It was this connection that introduced me to Bob in 2004.  Since that time we became fast friends.  He would share his fishing stories with me and I'd share mine with him.  I will treasure the fly rod that Bob gave to me and my only regret is that he never got around to teaching me how to use it.  I will learn and remember him with each cast.  Pauline, you know I'll be there for you whenever you feel the need.

We met Bob and Pauline for the first time a couple of days before Bob's 92nd birthday. Thanks to my family history research, I found that Pauline and I go way back - to the 1820's in fact!!! Bob was a great host and we enjoyed his company. He was a kind and gentle man with an interest in nature and flowers. In fact we have a perennial that Bob dug out of his garden and gave us. I shall always have fond memories of Bob.  Even though he and I both worked for GM, I would not have known him except for the fact that he lived 2 doors down from my in-laws, the Gilmores.  He took great delight in watching Alex, my son, grow up into a young adult who ended up becoming one of his favourite lawn cutting boys.  He was a great guy with a big heart who always had time to stop and chat.  The street will not be the same without him.  I am very sorry for your loss Pauline.   Alan Willison (England)

My Uncle Bob Mills held an important place in my life, and I will always remember him with great fondness.  As a child, growing up in Wawa, a visit from Uncle Bob was one of the most exciting events of the year, eagerly anticipated. There were few people who were more fun to have around the extended family dinner table, or by a campfire. I particularly remember several Christmas visits, with Bob singing carols in his wonderfully rich voice, while my sister or I played our old piano, and Uncle Ken played the guitar.  He was always happy, always funny, always slightly, delightfully raucous.  He, like all his siblings, brought an enormous sense of fun to our family gatherings. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Pauline, 
It is with sorrow that we convey our condolances to you and your family after hearing of Bob's passing. We became very very fond of both Bob and you over the years and especially enjoyed having you visit our home. The dinners and visits we shared with you both, Ron and Val will be forever cherished and remembered. Bob had a knack of bringing a sense of fun and joy to all those he met. We shall miss him.

Bob was an absolutely wonderful man and will be missed by many.  Mike and I knew him through the Oshawa Curling Club when we both worked there.  He was one of the kindest people you would ever meet.  We are very sorry to hear of his passing.

Pauline, P.J. and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. Your family and mine were connected for so many years. I will always remember that Bob was a choir member for my Mom's funeral Mass..how amazing was that! We are leaving for an extended vacation and will not be able to attend the funeral. Bob and Pauline were neighbours of my grandparents for over 50 years.  I have since had the pleasure of continuing that tradition by residing in the very same house next door to them.  

Bob was a wonderful man.  Munir and I reflect fondly of the time we had to spend with him, whether it was an evening at our homes or, just a quiet summer afternoon on the deck in the back yard.  He always had great stories to tell and was always willing to give you a hand when you needed it.  We will miss him terribly.

We want to express our deepest sympathy to Pauline, Kerry, Ron, Phillip and their families.

My beloved neighbour from across the street in Oshawa.  He helped me do a million little chores at my house (once he rigged up a little bridge to enable a baby skunk to escape from a basement window well).  Only a Wawa guy would know all those tricks of mother nature and her extended family.  He was a dear friend and I will always miss him.

My husband and I met Bob and his lovely wife Pauline just the once over a Christmas get together with Friends (their neighbours).  It was an absolute pleasure to have spent time with them both.  Bob and I spoke about his mother and our families, and I left that evening feeling uplifted.

Bob, what a wonderful gentleman.  As I was the drummer for the General Motors Choir Bob was always willing to help me with my equipment, always had a smile and we shared many of conversations...a very gentle soul.  I was sorry to hear of his passing and will always remember our times together.
