Peacefully, with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Etta (McCluskey). Cherished father of Lisa Grandovec and husband Rowland, Patrick and wife Jennifer and Nick (predeceased). Loving papa of Melissa (Benn), Peter, Jessica, Jordan and Avery. Survived by brother Stephen (Cheryl), sister-in-law Doris and brothers-in-law Joe (Joan) and Mike. Dear son of the late James and Muriel Powers. Predeceased by brothers Jack and Eddie. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 29th, from 6 – 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH (91 Ribblesdale Dr., Whitby) on Saturday, January 30th, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated.
