Robert Bobby Thomas Thurier

Passed peacefully after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, in his 61st year. Dear husband of Sandra (nee Burns) for 22 years. Loving father of Lina Ann Marie and Luke Robert. Brother of Ron (Patricia), Marjorie, Eloise (Larry) and Joan. Predeceased by parents Clarence and Anne Thurier and sister Clarene. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Yvonne Burns, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, father-in-law, extended family, friends and co-workers. Student of Lakehead, Toronto and Western Universities. Dedicated 35 year employee of Ontario Power Generation. Co-Chair and Member of the Toronto District Multiple Myeloma Support Group. Bob generously donated of himself to the Research and Development Team at Princess Margaret Hospital with the support of Dr. Donna Reece in hopes of eventually finding a cure. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, September 26th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH (903 Giffard St., Whitby) on Friday, September 27th at 12:00 noon. Memorial donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital - Multiple Myeloma Research.
