Kathy, Jane, Rick and family,
It was sad to learn of your dear father’s passing this morning. I spoke with him after my Mum, Orma Andrews died last summer, and he was so kind, as always.  Our family was very connected to yours in several ways. We lived down the street from you along Bond, I babysat for you all during my teenage  years, and of course, curling was a shared interest of our parents. 
Bob came to Scarborough for our Mum’s 90th birthday and she was thrilled to see him make the time to attend and celebrate with our family.
My brothers were also very fond of Bob and we send our deepest sympathies to you all and hope that your many wonderful family memories will comfort you as you mourn.

I didn't know Bob well outside of our family dinners at grandma's other than his company made her and us very happy. He and his son were both part of the family as far as I was concerned. I and everyone in our family is very greatful to have spent the time I had with him and hope he and his children knows the positive impact he had on our family.

Bob was a neighbour for over 30 years, always a gentleman with a smile on his face and great conversation to share.

I had the good fortune to be a member of Bob’s staff when he moved to St. Catharines as Plant Manager of the Axle Plant. Bob came to us with his lovely wife Amy, and created an environment that the staff flourished under. Bob was a “leader and not a manager”. He empowered us not only to make tough decisions but to function truly as a team…we all had each other’s back. 
If you are lucky to have a leader like Bob you will grow as an individual. 
The confidence he bestowed upon us made us better leaders as individuals and a team.

Bob was my next-door neighbor and friend for 33 years. We shared many great times over those years and I will miss him.

Robert,  Bob to me, was a wonderful person and work colleague.  Bob and Rick would come to the North Oshawa Legion and join us for a night of Karaoke.  We always had wonderful time and many fond memories. Rest in peace Bob.

I had the pleasure of working for Bob in St Catharines in the 80's.  He was an admirable leader, someone we all looked up to.  He had very high standards that we all worked hard to achieve for him.  I learned so much from him and everything that he taught me I have used in my career almost 40 years later.  His attention to detail, desire to know the facts, make improvements everyday, knowing your numbers.  Bob was our Plant Manager, but he was also a friend.  After our move to California in '92 we stayed in touch and would visit from time to time when we returned to Canada.  I am grateful for our last visit in the fall of 2017.   Thank you Bob for the great education you gave me!

We are deeply saddened by Bob's passing. We are so grateful for the times we spent with Bob and our Mom, Ellie over the past 5 years. We will cherish the special memories and always remember Bob's kindness, generous spirit, sense of humor and seemingly endless curiosity and intelligence. He was a wonderful man who made a lasting mark on our family. He will be missed and live on in our hearts.

So sorry to hear about Bobs passing . Lots of memories of Him and the family on North Lawn Avenue when I was a kid and then cleaning the house for Rick and Bob as an adult , lots of good memories. My condolences to Rick and Cathy and the rest of the family .

I knew Bob as a curler - and a good one he was along with being very wise with a wicked sense of humour.

I have so many great memories of Bob as I worked for him in the North Fabrication Plant when he was Superintendent of Plant Engineering & Maintenance.  Always a smile and a good man to work for.  So sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to Jane, Kathy and Richard.

Mr. Bob Walker welcomed me into their home in 1982 . Have been friends, best friends with Rick since then. Appreciated the time with Bob and Amy, fun memories. How they dealt with your drumming I'll never know. R.I.P.

I am so sad to hear of your dear dads passing. He lived a long happy life with his dear wife Amy and you 3 children.
  I have so many happy memories going back to Sept 1972 when we moved 2 doors away from Bob and Amy on Holly court. We became fast friends and you kids all turned out to be kind loving adults thanks to a good upbringing.
  You were like my second family and I send my love to each of you. A really big hug to you Russ and  remember how much he did love you.

We have very fond memories of ‘Uncle Bob’ while growing up in Oshawa, spending time with our Grandparents (Bill & Helen Glover). A kind hearted and happy man. He will be missed.
