I was saddened to come across this obituary. My deepest condolences go out to the Esposito Family. I only talked to Rocco a few times (WAY back in 1997), but I can remember how polite and enthusiastic both he and June were to hear the voice of his Uncle Rocco's great-grandson. After leaving Calabria, Rocco's father, Giovambattista, settled in Oshawa, whereas my great-grandfather, Rocco, settled in Kirkland Lake. His daughter, Maddalena (my Nonna), was born on December 31st, 1914; Rocco would have been a little boy when he last saw his first cousin. I believe that this world is just a training ground and that, in the spiritual sense of the word, Rocco is much more "alive" than we are. Rocco was very lucky to have had such a large, loving family. And I do hope that my entry is not viewed as being intrusive. It is a shame that I never got to meet him.

It seems like only yesterday, I was fixing things with Rocco, either at work or his home.  I have great memories of the TRS days, and of him, as among the kindest and gentlest of persons I've ever met.
My deepest condolences to the entire family...I've known so many of you from days past, and often think of you, especially now.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.

My memories include:  packages of donuts and mini-pizzas being dropped off at our house;  weekends at Mosport with Pit Passes; help with a school photography project...or two; "Rocky" doing handyman work at our home because my Dad was all thumbs; me being lent a truck to move my post-university belongings back home; mostly though, always a smile, a laugh and a funny story.
