Ronald Welby Allen

Following a short and hard battle with pancreatic cancer, Ron died at home in the loving arms of his family on April 21st, 2022 at the age of 85. Left to mourn is his beloved wife and friend Ann (Annie) of 59 years. His son Leonard and his wife Jolanda. Grandchildren Weston and Amanda. Sister Pamela and many family and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Kim (1991). Ronald was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1936 to Ethel and Dexter Allen. Ron was educated at Appleby College in Oakville and graduated from McMaster University in 1958. A vibrant and passionate person who loved people, Ron started the financial services department of W.B. White Insurance in Oshawa where he enjoyed many years in the financial industry before his retirement. He served terms as both President of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa and President of the Oshawa Probus Club, and with a lifelong appreciation for music, was a member of the Clarington Ukulele Club. At Ron’s request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Celebration of Life will take place at the War Memorial Library, 269 Queen Street, Port Perry ON, on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
