I didn't know Ron well. I met him when he was visiting his wife at York cemetery. He would go there every Sunday. What struck me about him was that he would put flowers at the nearby grave of Leslie Ann Wren. She died as a cuso worker in Nigeria back in the 1960's. She was just a young girl and she was the Evans' neighbour here in Canada. Ron and I spoke about that. He was obviously a wonderful man to do that. Then just yesterday I was over at the cemetery and realized that Ron had been buried. It was such a sad way to say goodbye to such a good man. My condolences to the Ron's family.
