Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa at the age of 84. Loving husband of Ethel for over 46 years. Predeceased by his first wife Marian, mother of his children Heather and her husband Harry Vanderzwet and son Kevin. Also survived by stepdaughter Shelley and her husband Peter Etmanskie and family. Predeceased by his parents Scott and Mable and his stepfather Douglas McDavid, brothers Murray, Jackie and sister Faye. Survived by his sister-in-law Elizabeth (Murray), Daryl (Ruby), Carson (Joyce) and the late Duane McDavid and Lynn (late Sanford) Mann. He will be sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, May 11th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations will be gratefully accepted to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or ALS.
