Although I did not know Sergio very well as I came into his group of friends in his later years, I didn't't have to know him well to know he had a good heart. He had a personality that made you feel like you have known him your whole life, warm and inviting, would do anything to make you laugh. 

My first memory of Sergio is his moves on the dance floor at Mike and Jen's wedding. He made my aunt feel like she was on cloud nine, dancing up a storm. No matter who you were, in that moment, he made you feel special and welcomed you with open arms. 

He was one of those people that when he entered a room, he would brighten your day. He would change the energy in the room and lift you up (literally and figuratively). 

My heart goes out to all his family, loved ones, and friends. Sergio was an exceptional man and will be missed very much.  Life is not measured by the number of years you have lived, but by the number of hearts you have touched.

Thinking of Mario and the entire Romano family and all of Sergio's friends. I can remember all the way back to primary school elementary days at St. Christopher's with Sergio and Mario.  I am heartbroken to hear this news. Rest in peace, Sergio

My condolences to the Romano family. I have lots of fond memories growing up with Mel and Sez. Lots of my life’s first time experiences were with the twins. I will forever remember playing countless hours of pool in their basement on Antigua crescent and loosing my paper route money gambling with them. It breaks my heart heart that you were taken so unexpectedly. Your memory will never leave us and live long in our hearts.

I remember hiring Serg at the age of 16 and seeing him grow into a fine young man.  We have remained close over the years and Serg helped me and my family with renovation projects in times of need that will never be forgotten. 

We had the pleasure of meeting Julie and it was great to see Serg so happy. 

So long dear friend, until we meet again. 

Sergio was a good friend back when we were in high school.  He was a positive influence on my life and taught me how to lift weights.  We was a friend to me when I was a bit of a loner and having a tough time as a teenager.  He had a positive outlook on life and made me feel like things weren't so hopeless.  I think he had a big outcome on my life from just being a genuinely nice & positive person.  

He was easy to get along with, a great guy to have a drink with and was always honest with you.  His attitude rubbed off on others and if he was having a good time, everyone else was having a good time too.  He had a strong personality that motivated myself and others.  I'm sad that I moved away & wasn't able to talk with him.

God bless him & his family - he'll be missed.

We will miss the conversations at family gatherings as Sergio had the gift to gab. May the memories of Sergio live on through the family and friends who loved him.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Sergio when we came to visit his mother in Canada He was a fun loving and special person May he Rest In Peace !

I have no shortage of memories with Sergio, but this week – all I want is one more.  You are gone way too soon.  

Early on in our friendship, I could tell Sergio would be a person ready for anything – no matter the task or occasion.  He lived the way he wanted to, no exceptions and met every challenge head on.  In his mind, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t accomplish.  He had more courage that anyone I know to say what he felt (even to a fault), but you could never say he wasn’t being genuine.  Take it or leave it, agree or disagree - that was Sergio.  

Our spontaneous get-togethers, countless conversations about life, work, family, business and all of his many aspirations and achievements will be my fondest memory.  He taught me that hard work and believing in your own success was the only way to live.  He made everyone around him better.  I was always amazed to see him roll up his sleeves and take on projects that an entire crew of people would be scared to undertake.  These projects were no match for his ambition and a work ethic he inherited from his loving parents, shares with his brother and only started to impart on his nephews whom he loved dearly.

There were times in our friendship where we went down a different path or even lost touch for a while.  But Sergio was always there and always the first to lend a helping hand, offer advice or listen.  Easily one of the most resourceful, generous and considerate people I have ever met. 

There are no words for how much we will all miss you.  Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.  Until we meet again, my courageous, stubborn and loyal friend.
