My heart has been shattered into a million pieces.  Things will never be the same without you in our lives Shawn.  Everything in my life changed the day you were born.  You taught me so much about myself.  How to love differently, how to worry differently and how I looked at the world in general.  Thank you for that.  I admired your genuine love for animals, the special place in your heart for children and I loved how when you laughed you did so with your shoulders shaking.  Those are just a few things that come to mind at this time.  You were such a kind hearted soul who often struggled to find your footing in this world.  I’m so sorry for that.  God knows you tried on many occasions to put things right and for that I am proud of you.  I will always hold my memories of you close to my heart and cherish the good times.  May God rest your soul and keep you in his arms forever until we meet again.  I love you Shawn.

Bigelow. I was shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. We had parted ways for a few years but I never forgot our friendship. Playing your modded xbox in your basement, lunch on the 3rd floor everyday, and hanging out in the mall.  As 16 years olds all of that  was great times. When it came to anything technology based you were always the guy ahead of the curve, and when you like something you knew everything there was to know about it. There was a time years back I felt like you were one of my only friends I could truly rely on. I will never forget you for that. I wish we would have reconnected. I never forgot our friendship and never will. You will truly be missed.

Shawn, everything i think of to say seems so pitifully inadequate to explain how much you mean to me, and how much you will be missed. Your brilliant mind, quick wit, sense of humor and most of all your kind and gentle heart. I wish my little Jackson could have had a chance to know his "uncle shawn". I know he could have learned so much from you. As we used to say "friends are the family you choose." Thank you for choosing me. I will always love you like family. 

We were so deeply sorry to hear the news concerning Shawn. As a family, we want to extend our most sincere sympathy to every one of Shawn’s family and friends.  A loss of someone so young, kind, loving and warm is tragic and a heartbreaking loss to our family. I will always remember him as a young boy, always smiling and laughing.  He had such a beautiful smile that lit up a room and the twinkle in his eyes was contagious to those around him.

At a family event watching Shawn, Alex, Jessica and his cousins run around laughing and giggling is something we will remember forever.

This is one of my favourite childhood photos and I look at it now with love, nostalgia and profound sadness for a life lost far too soon. Shawn was a deeply kind, warm and compassionate young man and I am disheartened knowing that he will now be missing from our family gatherings. He has left a hole in our family and my heart aches for his parents, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

We love you very much Shawn.  You are missed.

Shawn was my daughter's best friend.  They stood by each other through good and bad times.  I love Shawn for his kind, generous heart and soul; his love for animals; the special way he always made kids feel loved and appreciated.   I love that in his own way he loved my daughter.  I will miss his smile and kind eyes; how much he liked his food and was so appreciative of any meal made for him; his child-like joy when opening Christmas gifts (even socks earned an ear-to-ear grin).  I cannot believe that a life with such potential ended so soon.  I pray that Shawn has moved on to a happier more peaceful place and that he is watching over us all.  Love you Shawn💙

Shawn was my best friend.  I am blessed to have known him.  He was a good man, with a kind heart and such a generous nature.  I will never watch Star Trek again without thinking of Shawn and the way he lit up watching it.  He is forever in my heart.  

Shawn, it has already been a week since you passed away and I feel sadder everyday.  So I decided to share the happiest moment of my life....the day you were born. 
While your Mom was pregnant with you,  I used to talk to you through her belly. Everyday I would say, "Hi baby, it's Daddy." When you were finally born, I said the same words to you,  "Hi baby, it's Daddy" even though your eyes were still closed, you turned your head in the direction of my voice.  You knew my voice and I instantly fell in love with you. 
I  will miss you terribly for the rest of my life.

Shawn, you’ll forever be missed by everyone around you. We’ll miss your big bright smile, your infectious laugh, and all of your sarcastic jokes.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you over the last six years and as soon as I met you I could see the special and unique bond that you and Jordan had and will always have. You’ll always be his older brother and someone we will hold dear to us. 

Not only were you a great older brother, you were an amazing uncle to Taz. He’ll miss you just like all of us here today will.

We will miss you every single day for the rest of our lives. May your soul rest in paradise, and your smile will always shine bright with us here.

I will always remember when we lived across the hall from each other in Whitby and came together for Christmas. We put my tree up with your lights in our buildings hallway. & There it stayed until New Years.

Great memory of Christmas at Grandma’s place.

My sincere condolences to the family. Shawn and I met when we were very young. My brother Buddy, Shawn and I spent many afternoons playing video games and hanging out. So many of my childhood memories included Shawn and we are so blessed to have had that time with him even though it was short. Rest in the Light. 

It’s so hard to find the words . . . So many fond 
memories of all the cousins together and Shawn being the oldest.
