Shirley Diane Fletcher Pelton

Passed away unexpectedly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, April 20th, 2015, at the age of 71. Loving and adored wife of Donald for 55 years. Loving Mom and best friend of Donna. Predeceased by her parents Lionel and Vera Fletcher, as well as by her sister Pauline (Maynard Drew). Shirley was a beloved sister-in-law of Phyllis, Richard (Roselyn), Lenny (Debbie), late Ray (late Thelma), late Russell, and the late Robert (Marjorie). Shirley will be missed by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will also be missed by her 4 Standard Poodles Kali, Cleo, Cassie and Brandy, and by her 3 cats Ebony, Tia and Salem. Those who knew Shirley will best remembered for her love of gardening, bargain shopping, spending time with friends and her obvious love of animals. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Jones and the Critical Care Nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the care and compassion shown to the Pelton family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, April 23rd from 6 – 8 p.m. As per the family’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care or the Humane Society of Durham Region.
