Peacefully at Thorntonview Long Term Care on Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 at the age of 89. Loved wife of the late Bill Powers (2004). Dear mother of Patti Kewin (Wayne) and John Powers (Verna). Loving Nana of Stacey Daigle, David Kewin (Susan), Amanda Powers, and Ashley Powers (James Masson). Great Nana of Marshall, Blaize and Dash. Sister of the late Jack, Bob, Bill, Lorraine, Jean and Barb. Sister-in-law of Eleanor (late Bob), Ted, and Teresa Powers and the late Bette Trudeau (Roy). Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. A special Thank you to the staff at Thorntonview LTC, for their excellent care. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, February 13th from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 14th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society will be appreciated.
