Last week many good friends and family attended my dad's funeral.  Anyone who had the pleasure and honour to be part of his life, are all sad to lose someone such as Stefan Wozniak.  I knew my dad as someone who kept himself active, someone that was well known in his community, whether it was in Oshawa or up at his cottage.   
I give heartfelt thanks to Dignity Funeral Home, the Polish Veteran Hall, all the veterans from the hall, and Wanda.  All that were involved being a part of of my dad's life and making sure that dad's funeral was taken care in such a good way, cannot be described with mere words.  I send love, gratitude and thanks to everyone.  I love you daddy.

So very sorry to here of your fathers passing. I will always remember his soft spoken words and kind and loving smile. When your family left Oshawa I would run into him quite often he always greeted me with a hug and say Penny Locke .We would always talk about Rose-Anne and I playing dolls on his front porch.He will be fondly remembered. Steve was a stand up guy & a gentleman.I
will miss our talks at the cottage & his

So sorry to hear of  the passing of your dear father.  He was always a smiling face that greeted me twice a year as we planned our school graduation ceremonies at the Polish Hall. Rest in peace,

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.  Joan Ann and the Evelyn Family.

Steve, you will be sadly missed by all your friends and family.  You were the reason our family ended up on Maple Lake and for that we will be eternally grateful.  I have fond memories of the week I helped you raise your cottage.  Enormous steaks every day, with enough food to feed an army.

Dear Richard, Ruth, Rose-Anne and Family,

Our deepest sympathy to Steve's family and many friends on the loss of a dear man. Wujek (Uncle Steve) was a kind soul. We first met him in May 1965, when our family arrived from Poland and he met us at the train station. He was our introduction to everything Canadian. He toured us around Oshawa and taught us all the things we needed to know in our new home. He piled everyone into the car and drove us to his cottage, where we spent some happy times. We all have those special memories from our childhood. In all the time I knew him, I remember a calm and even tempered man, with that ever present hint of a smile. Our thoughts are with all those who knew and loved him during this time of loss.

We loved "Uncle Steve" dearly and will treasure the memories of spending many happy summers with him at the cottage. I was lucky enough to also have worked with your father at the Polish Veteran's Hall in the "Red Room" and we shared many laughs together.  He was a very kind hearted man and will be greatly missed.
