Can't believe it's been 7 years you are gone. We never thought Kelly would join you 4 years later. Now it's been 3 years she's been gone. I had a psychic reading where you said you have your girl with you so it brings me some comfort to think you are together. Our very deepest sympathy to Jan and Family.  What wonderfully laughing moments we remember from years gone by with Steve.  My parents, Pete (Len) & Irene Lizotte always enjoyed Steve's drop-in visits when they lived on the farm south of Campbellford. What more can we ask of life than to be remembered fondly by others. How does anyone say good bye to someone like u ! You were the smile at the end of the day u were the companioin if ya needed a plus one ! Lol ! Sad and hurt are words  can not even describe what we all are . But we have memories that make us smile , to help us get thru those days . Dad , I know I can't see u any more,  but I know the quiet days when I need the courage and strength to get thru I.u r the angel on the shoulder to talk to . You took back the fight and u decided and that my dear father I know was the hardest decision u made . But take me back to bancroft. Iknow you made peace with that choice I will respect and smile when I think about bancroft . Cause u are sitting by the dock now knowing we are sad ! DIGNITY.. how appropriate for my best friend soul mate of 46 years. That's how he lived his life with dignity grace humor caring and compassion. Then he chose to end his life in the same way. He had an amazing ability to listen to someone and help them with life decisions or just understand a problem. I saw it many times over, even in his sickness he would understand PSW's problems or even when family members came to see him he would tell them that it was ok and he would be fine. He always wanted to know how they were doing to take the focus off himself. When I met Steve he had a unique quality that was "different" from all the other "boyfriends" . Different in a good way that's what I loved about him.  He wanted to know me as a person. We shared our thoughts dreams and hopes for the future with each other and mentally he had me captured from day one. His "weird" funny humor kept me laughing and enjoying him throughout our marriage. He would always try to see the positive side of life even though he had to overcome many challenges  and tho tended to worry and stress over situations it never lasted and he would always plan for our next step with an amazing positive outlook.   Tracey Kelly and I were his life . He  cared so deeply about all his siblings enjoyed every single family occasion with them right to the last "Boxing Day" at home this year.  He was a "big brother" to my sisters Cindy her husband John and Sharon and her husband Barry and gave them his love and caring from the very beginning. He touched the lives of ex husbands Shawn and Steve and now James and Rob getting to know them and offering his support to them whenever he could. How do I say good-bye and how do I go on we don't know but one thing he will live on in our hearts forever.  Goodbye my love and I will see you soon.

Steve Lizotte was my dad, my friend and my strongest supporter and defender, in his eyes I could do no wrong, I was his little girl, and I can still hear his voice in my head every day. He was the one who taught me the values I live by today and that you need to treat people as a friend even strangers, I use his wisdom and his zest for life as the way I live my life, he was such a strong person and he taught me and my sister to be strong as well, if we can be half as strong and half the person he was, our lives will be worth it.

I will remember Steve from school days at Agincourt and as my good neighbour in Oshawa. He always gave Jan and i a ride to work and was always laughing and joking with a smile that could light up a room. We will miss you Steve but you must now rest in peace and you will forever be in the hearts of your family and friends. where to I begin, you where my big brother and always felt a special bond. I will miss our family gathering which you loved so much. My best memories will be of you at the helm of your boat as we cruised down the lakes, I miss you so much already but you suffered enough and I know you are now out of pain. Steve is one of those heros who we will never truly know how far his courage and genorosity will go on or has gone. Your bravery is like someone that runs into a burning house to save others. 

Steve, you taught the doctors, specialist, nurses, caregivers and us so much, so that the others that are sitting in your place with their families now, will have doctors and specialist with the knowledge that you gave them. It doesn't make saying good bye any easier but maybe in time we can all have some comfort in that thought.
