Passed away peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Thursday, July 10th, 2014, at the age of 90. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (2007). Loving Dad of Don (Lesley). Adored Grampa of Heather (Patrick). Cherished Great Grampa of James. Tom will be missed by his sister Margaret. Predeceased by his brother Donald. Tom will be fondly remembered for his love of gardening, and his dedication to family. He enjoyed conversation and interaction with people. Tom will be truly missed by all who knew him. The Houston family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate nursing staff at Sunnycrest Nursing Home for taking such great care of Thomas and his family during his stay. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, July 14th from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
